CCTV Installation in Srirangam and Thillai Nagar, Trichy
Srirangam and Thillai Nagar in Trichy have family homes close to busy streets and temple areas, with many visitors, deliveries and pilgrims passing through. A practical CCTV installation in Srirangam or Thillai Nagar should show who is at your door, record what happened clearly and warn off anyone who should not be there.
Here is how to plan it.
Homes near busy streets
When the street is busy, a camera at the front sees a lot of passers-by. Aim it at your gate and door, not the whole street, and use a 4K camera so faces and plates stay clear when you zoom into the recording. Put the main door camera above the door so that it sees the face of the person at the door. Our gate camera guide explains why.
Know who came: face lists
AI face detection photographs the face of everyone who comes to your door and sends the photos to your phone. If you are away for the day, you can check the list at a glance, and click a face to see that visit.
Colour night vision
A colour night picture gives the true colours of clothes and vehicles, which helps the police. Built-in lights also make the front of the house look lit and in use, which deters thieves who look for dark houses. See our colour night vision guide.
Shops and small businesses
Cover the entrance, counter, stock and back door. A siren speaker on the back door warns off anyone who enters after closing, and the alert reaches your phone. Tell staff that cameras are in use.
Festival days and away days
Families often travel during festivals. Do not post trip plans on social media (see our social media safety tips), and use human detection with a siren while you are away. Remote viewing lets you check the house from wherever you are.
Stanklin, a Taiwan-based AI CCTV brand, makes the cameras we install. They offer AI face detection (the faces of everyone who comes are listed, and you click a face to see that visit), AI human detection, a large external siren speaker with voice warnings, two-way talk from your phone, colour night vision with built-in lights, and audio recording. They have a metal body, a Sony sensor and a 2 year replacement warranty.
